Zab indeed the plan is to glaze some more greens into the skin later. Gandalf I agree with you and use some reds to bring more life to the stomach area.

Thanks for suggestions much appreciated. also some muse is back and work done on Rose base. (no pic thou)

BTW i guess I also blame DR ;) (guess we will soon see if he follows this thread, hides behind digga in hope that he will do some impossible mission stuff to save my ass)

Looks darn good Kretcher. The cultists are actually one on my favorite things in the DV box. I promised myself I wouldn't get into it until I finished my Black Reach box LOL I already cheated on the Hellbrute an some half baked motorcycle conversions.

I would paint those mouth staples ASAP. That is a big part of what's going on with this dude. And then figure out what you are doing with the tentacles. That flesh-to-blue color that BAM did is awfully tempting :)

Looking good mate nice skin tone going on there, I'd maybe up the contrast a tad but other than that it's primo;)

thanks Demi and Andy,

I have made some progress on the staples and the skin tone is a bit more contrast to it. also mixed in a bit of red in shadows. Also a friend of me said brusises and wounds generally have a some violet, green and yellow areas surrounding it. I have given that a go (I am not really to happy about the arm but not sure...)

Also since I have just done two small freehand things before I decided to give it a go on this one also. I have made a tattoo of Nurgle symbol on the back. Now I am thinking if I should colour it or just let it be as it is and glaze over some skin colour. (need to do that in any case and make more contrast on skin on back. not really done there. :)

Thoughts and suggestion on these issues?

The model's looking very good. The discoloration around the open wound on the arm looks nice. As for the tattoo, I think adding a little more color would work great.

Hmm. The green on the wound is a bit much to me. Maybe blend it into the arm more? The tattoo looks weird because its the same color as your shadows, but good luck changing the color on it. Just keep glazing in skin color on it I think, and see where it goes.

Well succeeded in "destroying" the base for rose when working with pigments and trying some stuff out :) well lesson learned. Now I have to fix a base today for here to go up in the WAMP Hasselfree contest, well something simpler it will be. Update later today I hope :)

Don't give up yet. What happened? I have salvaged some pigment mishaps. Show us some pics and we can probably help :)

I tried do some pigment and oils and the coloration became totally wrong. Tried to save it but not getting it right. will instead make a new faster base and reuse the other one later on, so no problems. Will show what have happened later need to take a photo first.

Hi

Have had around 2 hours to sculpt, dry and paint this one, will now put my son to bed and hopefully get some more time ot make the water better and small touch up on figure where my big hands have removed paint.

Have to submit it today to WAMP online contest for Hasselfree.

Yeeah she is not that big :) well while waiting for the water effect to dry I took a size comparison picture for fun. This is the smallest figure I have painted and I believe that it will be some time until I do something this small again.

Man that green on the chaos marine looks fantastic! Im with Demi on the green arond the wound on the arm a bit strong. I thought the tatto was a carved scar! looks good, just needs to be toned down a bit.

Hahaha. Yes she is the overlord of them all. Fantastic job bud and seeing her in size comparison really makes those flowers on her dress a wow factor.

Thanks for all the nice comments, appreciates it very much.

I am also looking forward to the coming weekend Saturday since I am going to attend a painting class and hopefully learn some things, and meet other painters in real life. I have meet up with Skel and Ischa before but not many more then that and will be nice to meet some more people and hopefully some of them closer to where I live.

On a side note, also arranging a painting weekend in Västerås (Sweden :) ) in February, date is not set yet and people that want to attend are welcome. It will just arrange a place too be and people bring there stuff and sit together and paint for a day or two. Will post more information later on, when a date is set.

No updates on figures, might be some gingerbread figures soon :) baking with my son today, made the dough yesterday and been standing in the fridge.
