You can use tools to see, it's not cheating, ppl uses air brush to help them paint ton of tools to enhance there skills it's part of the game. Look let say your at 60 y/o and blind like a mole, will you stop doing what you love!? NO!! you will find ways. As long as it's you holding the brush in my mind it's fair. you think Natalia and Jeremy at 70 will be able to do that like piece of cake? LOL anyway man if your hand shakes what will you do? you find ways to hold them together and if that doesn't help you can then tie your hands to your head.

Ter I've tried my near sighted glasses with a magnifying glass I wish there's a way I could get in there I've attempted it 6 times on 1 eye and 3 times on the other yeah it's sad but even with tools I can't get in there I've tried large brushes with very fine points even the mighty raphael and Windsor and newtons cannot get me in there significant enough. I've styled on if I ever do another piece with no eyes I'm going to keep as such no damn eyes. It's way beyond my skill level. My models are far from perfect and this one is no different. But it doesn't have to be it has to just be better than the rest. Wheeew tall order.

I still can't figure out how u guys do the eyes so small to begin with. I am happy if I can just get a black dot on a white pupil lol.

Holy crap LOL I think that it's important that you tried your best. I still love it and what ever you do more or stop. And to think that you do your minis in a fraction of the time i do mine I have only respect bro.

I have a physical condition that helps me, my 2 eyes can move separately.

You have to drift into the zone and try to stay as long as possible, and do it again and again...

Thanks diggs ter DR skells baily bfok and all others who've helped achieve this model.i really feel it's a great likeness of a viking.though now that skel mentioned it it does look like a sad Stellan skarsgard....he has a rather sad look as if looking around after a battle at all his dead commerce as if to say in question was this all worth it....lol I'm sure I can dominate the historical the only one who can clearly destroy competitors is DAVID powell"" he's probably one of the greatestimated painters on eart.he's Def y favorite when it comes to graciously clean crisp realistic painting prowess..David powell rules...if he goes to CB there goes my placing and without a fight I'll kindly succeed to his majesty..he's gifted to say the least.

yeah sometime I have a weird sense of humor.

Ok, I type to fast... I will try to be more precise. What I want to say is my eyes "can" move separately from each other at will, it hurt a bit but i can move one eye while the other one is still let say and i can move them weirdly, it's far from a chameleon.

i use some drying retarder in my paint when painting stuff like small eyes, it will buy you some time when aiming the brush and stop it for drying out in two seconds when you pick up some paints with your 000 brush. i use vallejo "slow dry" but i guess you can hit random art store and buy acrylic retarder. another benefit with the retarder is that you can have another web brush and quickly take away the paint before it dries on the mini if youre not happy.

I feel your pain on the eyes. I bouGht a cheap jewelers magnifying visor and painting eyes is still a crap shoot. At least now i immediately can see when i screw them up!

Just 2 new but bad photos with some diff backgrounds base still not done. Tomorrows trip to the hobby store should shed some new materials for basing such as noted by skellette some vegetation.

Base finished like DR says it should be simple yet effective in addition some small vegetarians have been added.
