The only viable explanation of how you paint so fast is that you MUST be Santa Claus. I mean it makes since...your work is an inspiring Christmas present to all us painters, and who else can do things as fast as you...so no...I am not surprised at how fast you paint anymore because now I know your secret, your real challenge is getting around the world last night and delivering all the presents.....WELL DONE by the way. You probably even made it back in time to paint one more mini before you went to bed too didnt you? :p
I got a brick in my stocking from Santa BAM.

O I was thinking bout movies so disturbing they don't go to theatres .out of all of the them I thought the worst was "human centipede :first sequence" but that all came to a screeching halt...when last night me and the misses (she's a huge Kevin Smith -Jay and silent Bob and clerks fan) last night watched a movie which (stars the very talented Justin Long) @ is titled...TUSK...yo can know everything about this horror movie and it still will not prepare you for what your about to see...if you want to be messed up in your head with certain images that burn them into your brain ,along with being sick to your gut..then look it up and watch it ...again It's called TUSK!

it's based on a comic book by the same name. And if any of you are squeamish please don't watch.but from the pics it's a bit of a spoiler so many of you can tell a little of what and where the premise will take you. Enjoy!

Took about 6 hrs of painting today normally my technical prowess all started as a way to do things time efficient / great pro standards results . But 6 hrs on the back half and face of the new UM librarian is very slow for even me. But it has made me see the results I can get when take things at a slower pace. I will be doing this more often as I like what I'm seeing. Still practicing my 2 brush blending. Here's a look at the progress of blue armor for ultramarines. This is my own recipe a colors were picked by eye. I will be transcribing this and at the end it will be a sbs of exactly what I've used.stay tuned folks:View attachment 33733View attachment 33734

I know what you mean. It's the same with my newest project. I'm waiting for another 75mm kit to show up so I thought why not start something in the meantime.

Well, now I'm curious. What's the backup historical figure?

a so I was looking through some gladiator figures and needed something simple with plenty of armor to do my armor thing ie so I went with I believe it's from pegaso and it's the gladiator with scissor model. I've always loved this robotic arm that simulates a cyborg implant its just a great weapon and the fact that it protects the arm well above 18 inches it's a plus.

Yeah, CMON has had some bugs for the last couple months. If you insert the image from your computer it will double post as an attachment too. Under the 'go advanced' button you can remove them from the body of the post (just delete) but leave them as attachments. If you use the insert image from URL then it will only show up once... as long as you uncheck the 'Retrieve remote file and reference locally.' If that's left checked then it will double post. Either way it's a pain to avoid double posting. I keep hoping CMON will fix the issue but nothing yet.

That's a sweet gladiator figure, one of my favorite. I haven't added it to my collection yet but it's definitely on my wish list! It's a great looking figure, can't wait to see your version. Coincidentally they've got a Pompeii exhibit here in LA and I was just there the other day taking some photos for future figure reference. Here are some of the artifacts that this sculpt is based on. The helmet has a bit of damage, but all in all it's in pretty good shape for being almost 2000 years old. They had a second set that I'm attaching too. While not relevant to this figure, I thought it was cool enough to share.

Thanks a bunch David again that is awe inspiring to think its not just movies but that reall gladiators wore that and either killed or perished themselves in the actual wares. Unbelievable. History is just fantastic and thanks a bunch for sharing and for the reference material. I still cannot believe I'm looking at real gladiator attire. And 2000 years to boot. Unreal stuff. :)) made the day with these thanks Dave.
