Yes I do ..again thank you jocelyn thank you so much.

It's nothing bro really it's my pleasure, between getting screwed and almost give them away on e-bay and make my buddies happy, gee that's the easiest decision i had to make in years. You know I will be with you at CB you know that right, that lil Joce in your head man use me, say hi to Chris Borer and tell him I could not make it this year but next year I will try harder to come. :) I am emotional tonight You got a lil Joce right there bud LOL Damn dog wants to go out LOL later.

All of a sudden, I am happy that I am allergic! One of the days the littlest one is going to go in there and start painting by herself though... She already demanded to finish my Numbskull for me.

New project then, eh BAM?

I'm def gonna have to Sammy proof my shit I might as well give him the money to chew..

Have you tried working with Sammy on this? You could pick a scrap model, prime it (so Sammy can pick up that smell), and then put the model and one of his toys within reach. Reward when he goes for his toy and reprimand/correct/redirect him when he goes for the figure. Corgis are smart so he should hopefully learn quick. Unfortunately yelling at a dog after the fact doesn't do much (it can even make things worse... make him think models = I get yelled at, so therefore models bad and I must destroy them). That's why you've got to setup the situation so you can teach him in the act, let him know it's chewing on the model that's the problem. Lots of dogs chew up their owners stuff (shoes, tv remote, whatever) so I'm sure there are plenty of videos and detailed write ups about how to fix it.

Chloe is great with boundaries... I'd like to think it's my stellar (aka imaginary) dog training skills, but mostly likely I just lucked out. Which is good because my wife leaves her stuff on the floor all the time!

See baily that's my problem I see him with the mini in his bed then he looks at me with that face ...he gives me that firkin face (like the cat in the Shrek movie) and then I'm like melted ice cream...I can't bring myself to yell at him...it's terrible you have a corgi you know that face they give..and what's worse is when he gives me the face his ears go back that's his version of the tail wagging.cause he has no tail...so between the face and the ears going back and that Lil fat but wagging with no tail,he's got me good man...oh that Lil fat butt...I'm doomed forever.he's training me..:/
Ter I'll be calling on the power of my inner jocelyn at the competition. Stay with me I'll need ya.

Hey meph you think grounding up and snorting lead would be bad ??? :/
Well in terms of "not the brightest bulb" it would be up there.
Might get you a Darwin Award nomination.

Corgi's are renowned for being stubborn, BUT if he's chewing your stuff it could well be an attention seeking issue. He could be feeling neglected and it's his only way of expressing it.

Without intending to insult you John, Lessons should be for YOU and your dog.
Socialisation of dogs needs their owners setting the Alpha status, not someone else and you picking up the pieces.
To Quote:- "There are few bad dogs, but lots of Bad Owners!"

Fran and I have had three dogs since we've been married and both of us have had several beforehand, so I do have a feeling for whats needed.

There's nothing wrong with getting some expert help. But I agree with DR's point that you need to get involved too! Have them show you what they're doing and how they're doing it. Then you can repeat the training back at home. At that point it should be easier since Sammy has already seen it before. Basically you're teaching Sammy a new trick, the don't eat my models trick. Like any other trick, it takes practice. And remember dogs can associate training with a specific location. So practice next to your painting station.

oh phew, I thought you were going to say the stun gun and pepper spray was part of the dog training.

Good luck with the training. Corgis are smart dogs. Hopefully your minis will be safe from the wrath of Sammy.
