Ter that's the truest of stamens out of all....result ....kingdom of God and immortality...makes me really never fear dying...thank god for my faith and FRIENDS.

Oh yes indeed right now experimenting with some greens what's really gonna make it is the osl I just gotta pull it off right and 3days it's going to take me and that's not counting the super base work I have planned. This model gets me 80 bucks. Woohoo. Here's where we're at

Great frigging song....I still have haunting the chapel....and I won't talk religion or politics not the best subjects to ponder in group discussion lol,but I'm just so glad I have mine..I myself have seen things that I firmly Belive just aren't coincidence....ter yeah I've went that route too many times I know someone was looking out for me.

Now about the mini thats a steal for $80 he will be one happy kid! Looking good such is life about the horns, maybe if you have time or feel its ok to push the clients wishes for the better - a slightly stronger highlight with a mix of rakarth flesh and your brown to give it a little more depth and make the very end of the horns the darkest brown you can. Fabric the little bit of re greening looks way better from a few picks back. love the orb and look forward to seeing the minimal osl.

OK canny if I out a rakart what wou,d be the next best thing ....I think I know a peaceful way to say it to him just need a closer color for the racKarth...a any ideas? It'd really help me out next closest color for the fade and depth...? Open cause either way it's going in my gallery so it's gotta have all angles covered ...you know me canny gotta be perfect just lemme know another color hopefully I'll have it or reaper I have all those.

Love the texture lines you painted into the orb.

perhaps a more nurgle kinda green tones for the cape would suit. there background is similar, posion, decay, etc, the more green would help it separate from the rat itself. perhaps a weak green ink would help and it would keep the underlining textures you've already put on the cape.

obv the rags need backlining but I think you already know that so i'll eat my words

for the horns I think they would do with going darker at the tips like canny suggested. Perhaps starting with a fading glaze of Reikland Fleshade to the tip and then hitting tippy arts with thin glazes of earth shade to near black, the fleshshade will love a lovely red tint to the horns

The warpstone orb's looking really great, can't wait to see its ethereal glow. As a one time fundamentalist aetheist turned believer in God, I hear both perspectives, but yep BAM you're right, it's probably not the place for existential debates! Either way, life is glorious my friends, despite its challenges!

Mattie I could e agree more....started mixing the rakarth flesh I stopped myself for a moment canny and said John you idiot why would you ask anybody what other color would be replacing rakarth flesh when you ,you can mix up any color known to mankind ...you silly Billy gumdrop..by color theory ala betty edwards.

A very bad pic cause my other phone died and this is from a Motorola razor fliptop when my baby girl gets home ill take proper ones. This model is proving to be tougher and take longer than I thought. The customer was actually mad cause I changed the color imagine him telling me about contrast .., I held my toungue !!damn know it alls. Screw Hume il liked Danny's idea can't wait to get it done and never deal with this clown again.

banging mate, the osl is great, are you gonna extend the osl to the else where in the model?

Not for the orb I looked at a pic from expert "fantasy miniatures " @ he had much less so the orb osl is done but the Lil word stone hanging I'll do some up there and the Lil rat they'll be some around him..yeah that Luis grzb from fanasty miniatures had a little bit less than I did but his orb really was showing it wasn't a strong glow so basically followed that design....I honestly think it not better or worse but I like the little extra pop I gave it to extend a little further on the areas.again I don't want the models osl turn into half the model green and half painted..so that really where I'm gonna keep it again less is more .but that dips hit got upset I changed the horns I told him simply look I'm the artist and this goes in my gallery way before it sold to you...he kept going on and on about contrast...imagine this guy telling me about contrast right now I want this done so I don't have to deal with him ever again....dipshit.

As a reference where it would hit here's who I followed multi German golden demon winner ,and Germany is tough, think is name is Luis grysb, and I love his style of painting so for osl I tried following his direction but I do honestly like hoe the ine I did turned out vs his...much more character and technically I think it's close to exactly what I had in mind...View attachment 36410

haha, i hate peeps like that, if they know everything about painting and tell em to paint it them f$$$ing selves... I wasn't thinking half green I was thinking more of a relly subtle tint to the bottom of the rats ear as I think the cast off light would catch it.. rather than a half green model lol, after all your not painting the hulk , the horns look much better mate, much more interesting than they did before.

that paint job is off the wall mate, bit too clean for my liking. doesn't look realistic enough for my personal taste.. but I do love the way hes used dull and bright green with a lovely blend to pull it off. you cna leanr so muhc just by looking at other ppls work

Ya see how he only used the osl on the ball and the eye like spot coloring not on the little rat not on the smaller stone cause what happens is if a model is dominated everywhere the osl should be ITL end up looking not like osl with a zenith al lighting it'll end up being osl with the model covered in complete darkness like a moonlight effects..this should never be confused.remember folks it OSL with zenith al lighting there's 2 light sources.if the model was shrouded by complete darkness than it now becomes the OSL lights up all parts of the model and now looks just like that a dark model with varying shades of green...monochrome..I've only done osl a few times the necron and ion the skaven really content though on how much researched I've done from reaper to privateer press to scale 75 and these are how I got the ibterpretations..what I can tell people is 1 the color is lightest to the source and the parts closest to it....another Thing I can say is have an example from a picture you like and then mimic it.takes I little practice but remember it's osl as a secondary lighting source and osl is with that zenith al source.not to be co fused with osl shrouded in darkness.


Btw guys I saw Sutton today that was really cool go look at epic mini art he's doing g an entry for a local comp and it's a lizard man cold one rider...what he did was made reins outta greenstuff go check it out its a cool Lil idea.
