Ok, here is the first stages of the metal work on the centre part of the vault

Cheers john... can't beat a good sponge to weather metal , I've changed the armour panels on the spider thingy to a more of a dirty gold to break the rusty silver up. with the purple/red tones that are in the red rust. it contrasts rather nicely. I'll add some photos later.

geeze I forgot to get a final photo before handing the vault to the happy customer, I will get a photo next weekend.

I've started my next project, another mini for a local comp. We've all been given Ork Nobs to paint up. We can use greenstuff, miliput, etc. we can do scenic bases but have to use the mini bits that are supplied to us (you can't use bits from other kits for eg).

I'm turning my Ork Nob into a dress waering Evil Suns Orc Shaman with an axe and shield and a nice banner to boot.
