Thanks for the info. So that bones stuff is more like rubber? Is it like those Descent Boardgame miniatures? They are somewhat elastic, yet not like silicon.

Great looking eyes you painted Marjedi! The jelly glossy things will come last right? I'm imagining that three eyes swimming in a puddle of slime Yummy.
I'm really curious how the finished demon will look like. Thumbs up so far!

Could give him a sword and shield instead of eagle and lightning bolt,.. then paint the toga in a plaid/tartan pattern and make him into more of an old scottish warrior. But that would detract from the whole "god" aspect. I think it would look good though. Might have to buy this model again just to paint it in another scheme.

there's no mystery about why scotts-men wear kilts,... it makes it easier to pull the wool over the young lasses eyes,...(sorry,.. was that out loud?? :laugh: ok, ok,.bad joke,.. I know)

Hope I didn't bite off more than I can stomach - I swore off bone after Nagash. But this model is just so cool.

I do have a backup planned in case the bone is too much (or maybe if skelly is done quickly enough ).

With GenCon no longer on the menu, I don't have to worry about that taking up time from this!

Some great minis being started :good:

Been messing with a 'feathering' technique to get some kind of skin texture on the horse. Gone a bit blue but its a mythical character so im pleased. Half done as you can see the step in colour between the greys then the sudden black at the rear end.

@tenball, the feathering is a nice technique on getting texture on the horses body. The fact that you have have gone for a non-natural colour keeps in well with the fanciful nature of the piece.

I've made a start on the base and 'playing' with ideas on the colour of the dragon itself. The base still needs more work before I add the water-effect on it.

Eyes - to glow or not? Would seem kind of weird on a skull this big.

Aw come on Sionid, just try something quick! Speed paint a little mini on a gaming base for fun Yeah tyrst you should do just a tiny hint so it's way deep in the eye sockets, very small and subtle so there is till lots of black in there.

I would also add a subtle glow on the inner parts of the eyes Trystan.

Finally I got my mini delivered by hand so I'm pretty happy to had met Alexandre from Alexandros models. ^^
