Sionid's Clean Your Plate WIP Thread

Yeh, currently undergoing apartment search and new jobness, the hobby does suffer.

In the meantime:

Will Shardra's cape have freehand? In a manner of speaking. I'm trying to make it chain, like in her concept art, but it is NOT sculpted as chain at all. We'll see.

ALSO! I got some of my Kingdom Death stuff from the kickstarter! Just the add-on models that aren't actually part of the game (which I had completely forgotten about, aha...fairly raunchy pinups), but the hype is back after playing it at GenCon and really enjoying it.

Nice! I have always wondered if the KD game was any fun. It seems like it is overshadowed by the sculpts. I am loving the gnome. Her expression is great. Half way between rolling her eyes and saying "bring it." On the other one's cloak it kind of looks liek it could be shimmering feathers. maybe a really shinny white to black nmm type thing? with some green? like rooster feathers?

Thanks! As for KD:M, we only played a little bit, but it had good flow, was pretty easy to pick up on, but was still challenging. There are a lot of surprises and ways to die. Plus there's loot and crafting in a way that seems very enticing to a RPGer like me.

The shimmery feather thing is what I'll be trying to pull off, yeah! It's not there yet, needs smaller and brighter shinybits.

Hi Sionid - great to find a fellow lady around. :)

I love the feathers on her cloak so far. Hopefully you're still getting a chance to paint in between the Real Life goings on. :brushwave:

Hey CMON! It's been a while!

Some cool stuff has happened since I last posted. Lanyssa up there won first overall at Warmachine Weekend, and I also got first in single fig with Una the Falconer. I was nasty sick, but got to play like 20 hours of Kingdom Death and had a really good time regardless.

Right now I'm working on Adepticon stuffs. The project I'm having the most fun with is Origen Art's Faun, I'm bummed that the company is disbanding :(

Just did a bunch of glazing on her last night, so it's time to go over the highlights again.

Working on a diorama-thing with these two:

They're both pretty far from done, the Oathpourer (pale lady) needs a good bit of tweaking to her colorscheme. Pretty happy with how the cloaked dude is coming so far.

I have one more definite entry, but she's not far enough along to post. Soon!

Wow, nice body of work! Don't be sad about OA. They are going on to do some other really cool stuff anyway. Love the work on Faun, she looks very druidic :)

Great looking figures! I really like what you're doing with the faun figure. Neat idea and excellent freehand.

Glad to hear you'll be back at Adepticon. Look forward to seeing you there!

You're back! Yay! :D

That Faun figure is absolutely breathtaking. I can't believe that those lines are freehanded on to her - they look like they are part of the sculpt.... Or should be.

Perhaps some burgundy/purple in the pale lady's colour scheme?

Fabulous work and congratulations on your results!

Happy to see that you been painting despite not posting here! And congrats on the winnings!

All your stuff looks wondrous, as always. Can't wait to see what you do with the Dark Age nomads, those are really neat figures but I haven't seen that many painted up.

Congratulations on your prizes, happy to see your work again!
I would like to point out that terrific freehand on the druid bust, and as always an impressive palette on each of those jobs!

Congrats on the wins, that's very impressive and those minis look amazing. The faun looks really good, I love the freehand work on the skin.
