Great scene. I would still be tempted to pick out some of the edges of the stone work with a light grey or even some pale flesh tones work on stone that ive used in the past.

Completely agree, and nice idea on the tea debris, because I also drink tea and I am going to save some for dioramas now that I am aware of another use for it. ^^

All you painting works looks brilliant!!! I really like the last one, the diorama. Just one thing, I think you could add brighter lines on the edges of the stones...

How did Gencon go for your entries? I seen a blurry pic of some of the mini's but I recognized your Necromancer right away, and it looked like you won something.

It went well!

In the PP contest, I got a bronze rating for the lady brute thrall, and a silver rating and best in category (unit) for the pirates.

In the GenCon contest, Jen got honorable mention in dio and third in Dark Sword Manufacturer's, the Imperial Palace Guard bust got third in large figure, and the wood elf avatar got first in the Rainbow Brush. The prize support for the Rainbow Brush was insane. INSANE. Really cool that so many companies were so generous!

I also got invited to do Aces, so next GenCon I'll be speedpainting against the likes of Marike, Jess Rich, Sam Lenz...never been so happy to be utterly doomed

Bailey, I don't have much in the way of pics of GenCon goings-on I never remember to take them and I always regret it. I seem to remember Nick clicking away a bit, though. I'll bug him about it tonight.
