Love the checkered cup! Someone needs to sculpt some M&M's so we can paint them NMM and TMM and then have a contest to see which is better, once and for all! maybe we could get Lars from Metallica to judge?

Firepower hasn't always been impressive. In the early times the shot a round ball, completely different from the shape bullets have now. During the English Civil War they first shot at the breast armour to "test" it, before handing it out; That's also why the breast plates from this era have a round "dent" in it. This didn't last long though, as firepower and ballistics improved a lot; During this time it was also a small minority of the soldiers who had firearms; most still used sword, halberds, etc...

Why don't you guys just paint real M&M's, they don't melt in your hands from what I hear.

Great stuff. I wouldn't have thought a red base coat for the gold metal how did you build up the tones from the red?

Andy, the colors are a bit off the basecoat is gw's old dark flesh, but its a pretty red brown color. the metal are built up using that color together with smoke, yellow and white.

think i need to fill up the empty space on the left side with something. like a castle or something.
