TThanks to all Anika thanks bro, oist you would know I showed my fiance your picture and she SaI'd -"he looks like one of those viking sculptures you paint lol"-,baily yes the viking show janet and I not only are hooked on watching that show but when she is able to add them to her DVD library the minute you can purchase them she gets em and we watch em str8 through all over again. We also just went to Colorado and we attended the Scottish highlands festival and saw a celtic war drum band called ALBANACH they were basically bare knuckle pipes and drums and it's Def the shit youde hear them play as they ride off into the freys of war...it was spectacular.

Sorry folks but the newest I phones camera is better than the best Nikon true story . The hands are next on the newer vike and the snow has just been Mixed and still drying but here's some pics enjoy. Still some things to do I have my list as you get older your memory fades a bit and I have to say the little bits if broken pillars from micro art studio are fantastic they will be adorning the movement tray as well as snow fall .

I love how they're all coming together as a group, but very much still with individual style. And no uniform lumps on the new guy's base! It makes the lumps on the other two less obvious as well because there's variation in the group now.

I dont comment nearly as often as i should. But, damn, that is comfortably your best work to date. I love the darkness and gritty realism of this paint job. Although i still think you can push further, the scabbards for example look a little flat in comparison to other components.

These guys are looking great, can't wait to see them all finished! For the blue tunic on the guy on the left are you highlighting all the way to pure white?

Qu annum man thanks bud,as hajj for pure white I rarely ever go up to it,except maybe for heads and shoulders lol no pun intended.what I do use is mix an off white but a warm one like a beige instead of a space wolves grey . In the situation as this viking whose from the north and are a cold living tribe this I see spaces wolves grey (my cold and lightest color mixed with the blue grey. I rarely go up to white when I exaggerate my shades it helps that even off whites are so contrasting that it has that appearance of white.

Thanks for the help :) Do you use other colours apart from browns in your leathers yours look so realistic and are the look that I'd like to achieve with mine. And did you get my email about the basing? Thanks

Moe thanks and quantum you too,I didn't receive any mail bout baseing send it again or you could ask me on here I'll help you out, also for leather I use a dark brown a medium yellow brown and a bone colored off white beige brown. The last two are what make the crack marks in the leather that help make that tex ture appear more weathered and realistic.if you go to megazordmans w I p he tells you how he does leather it's very close to what I do and recommend it.

I think the recent one is my favorite. Only critique is that his snow is too different. Looks like refrozen slush, whereas the others look like some fresh snow had fallon an the previously melting snow....

....wait I figured out what they are looking at...the fourth guy taking a whiz in the snow ;) lol

Thanks KY he's my fav as well can't tell you the yelling and bitching and moaning my poor janet ("patron saint of dealing with Johns bullshit") had to endure when I was searching for this ....I guess it's my white wale of all the models I was seeking.the thing with the snow is yes it is wet but I applied yesterday and had to wait overnight to dry but I took the photo right after I mixed the realistic water and the crushed clash.next photo you guys see it will be uniform.

By the way still impressed by that blue demon you did bud...and thanks again as another one of my great set of eyes.

Yeah, those latorre pieces can be hard to come by!

It's a good looking group, BAM. I think the three definitely fit together well.

Always krule a guy can get what I coined awhile back painting hypnosis it wasn't finished but I could've easily seen it being where I was going to finish it right and forgot.the tools of eyes are a huge weapon on the forums.baily thank you.once they're all done I feel it's going to be a best for me at least technically, never did an entry as huge as 3 54mm models until you gave me the idea.now I doubt I'll ever do anything bigger than 5 54mm models but hey after this year maybe 10 historical 54mm pieces one day I gonna do those romans.but a project that huuuge I just might have to go with the group that actually has the 10..

I Def feel comfy right now bails, but in the way that after getting a hint of who might show up (a little bird got out of its cage and told me) not so much about winning ,cause I'll need a miracle plus a dash of unlimited luck juice, but more so I feel great as I love this group and feel it's a level up technically from last year and the models I picked interact as they are really nice sculpts (last year 2/3 were flat sculpts ) but they are all looking in the same direction. My best I feel so far am loving this project.thanks guys .
