What you've never heard the galaxies greatest poet! Oh your education is sadly lacking! Let me remedie that right now

"Ode To A Small Lump Of Green Putty I Found In My Armpit One Midsummer Morning" is a poem by Grunthos the Flatulent.
[h=2]ExcerptEdit[/h]Putty. Putty. Putty.Green Putty - Grutty Peen.Grarmpitutty - Morning!Pridsummer - Grorning Utty!Discovery..... Oh.Putty?..... Armpit?Armpit..... Putty. Not even a particularlyNice shade of green. As I lick my armpit and shall agree,That this putty is very well green.During a reading of the poem, 4 of his audience died of internal hemorrhaging and the president of the Mid-Galactic Arts Nobbling Council survived by gnawing one of his own legs off. Grunthos was reported to have been "disappointed" by the poem's reception.

Ha 10 asked me yesterday it's just three paints here I'll copy and paste the txt I sent

Cheers mate (brushes away a tear) ;)

Just the normal mix but I've thinned right down.

Base is Snakebite leather 3 very thin layers to give coverage but not obscure detail.

Then a 50/50 water to army painter dark shade all over to darken it down although badab black will do as well but DONT use the new GW black wash it's shit.

Then very thinly reapply snakebite leather over most of the figure but leaving darkest areas. I did very thin application just a moist brush and quite dilute.

Then snakebite plus Vallejo pure white just a dot of white to the mix kept very thinned almost a glaze then just keep on going like that adding more and more white to the mix covering smaller areas until your at almost white but not quite.

The only different thing I've been doing is thinning down a lot more and far more layers maybe 20 or so from base to finish. So paints just 3 snakebite white and the black wash.

Hope this helps.

Nearly finished all the gold just a few twiddly bits left and then on to the fabric. Got a few ideas for free hand on it.

Thank you for explaining how you go about doing this. I've wanted to ask, but was a bit shy for some reason (thank you Gandalf the Grey for asking).

Flips sake I leave the wip for five minutes and Lee is striping me off already! I only ever paint in the nude because that's what the great mini painters do........everyone knows that.......well it has to be true Lee told me.

Anyway I've started on the clothes quite similar to the box art at this point. I like the dark colours next to the gold adds a bit of contrast. Free hand to come last.

Really nice job on the NMM. It's a lot of gold, but it all looks really well done. The clothing looks good too. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the freehand work.

3. Cross the dot
