@KruleBear - He does indeed and painting it is going to be interesting because the "usual" highlights aren't there.

@bgcdazzler - I approve. The rest of the cloak is going to be orange fading into yellow. Well that's the plan at the moment.

It feels like I've forgotten how to paint! I didn't know that much to start with so it's not fair that it's abandoned me after only a month away. But the paint splattering continues in the hopes that I'll find my way again.

Still having fun though, which is good.

Edit: Finished his skin and hair for now and re-basecoated the robe to deal with paint that had gotten where it wasn't supposed to be.

Yep, he's starting to come together.
Just remember that he is supposed to be your quick and dirty, get-back-into-painting mini... so have fun painting him and don't stress too much about the result. You can wow us all with your supernatural learning curve again once he's done.

I also made (for my wife) a big canvas on our wall which has the quote from Gandhi: 'where there is love, there is life'.

@SaintToad - Thank you. He's turning into more of a project than originally intended. He was supposed to be finished in a couple of hours, but it would seem that's not happening. He shouldn't take me as long as my bigger projects though.

So I haven't been painting.

I'm just not feeling any kind of connection to this wizard. As a result I was feeling pretty bad about my painting (as evidenced by recent posts - thanks once again for being my cheering section).

I could put him to one side and pick something else (Lord knows I have options), but I've put aside a couple of minis recently and I don't want it to become a habit.

So I am currently stuck in a self-made limbo and I don't know what to do.

Thoughts? Advice?
