Really nice blend on the cloak and that freehand pattern looks great! Never thought of googling "corner pattern" to get an idea for something like that, thanks for the tip

What all the other people said: the blend is super smooth. I have to learn from you!
And the freehand looks awesome. Adds so much character to the cloak!

Very nice blending, color choice, and ingenuity (with the corner pattern)! How long have you been freehanding designs on your minis, out of curiosity?

I think your color choice amazes me the most. Your mini is filled with so many different colors, and yet the color scheme works because of the specific colors and levels of brightness that you chose. Very intelligent scheme, and very cool-looking mini. Keep up the good work, Lone Lemming!

Very nice work about drapes. The mix of cold with warm tones in the blending process is very well done, it captures the light nicely.

Wow, those folds look spectacular. Love the eyes too, they have a haunting look.

Thanks, gorb, but I had some issues with the eyes, namely the iris is too large, please check the wiki. So I had to make them smaller, and it is kind of difficult to find VMC Ivory before Christmas...

And some leather work, small ones with VMC 70.872 Chocolate Brown, large one with VMC 70.982 Cavalry Brown, shaded with 1:1 Black : Dark Sea Blue, small lines with 1:1 mix of leather color:White, clasps are done with VMA 71.065 Steel:

Nice work on both of these. You seemed to have leveled up in your skill since I have been off the forums the past three months.

Ah, I see what you mean: the eyes weren't showing enough white. Took me a moment to realize.
Great progress!

BaM, eki, thanks!

For the shield pattern, I looked around for norman and viking shield design on the web, and found these Skyrim shield mod, used the second one.

First after some edge detect, resize and rotation:

Then printing, creating a mask and marking (= stippling with red) some more important area:

Then drawing all the lines, first try:

This not really good, compared to the original:

But not terrible either, finishing the design with VMC Carmine Red and VMC Japanese Uniform:

Rim is painted with VMC Red Leather, to connect it to the face, rivets are VMA Steel.

Colors are too saturated and shield is too clean, some weathering and desaturation is still needed.
