This thing is huge and seemed to take forever to finish, so hats off to anyone who has ever painted it(and a tip of the cap to vincenti who works in this scale all the time.)
Any thoughts/criticisms/votes appreciated
Here I try to disguise the fact that I don\'t do metallics well by...
I needed to reorganize(i.e. clean up) my painting area in a way to keep the kids and the cat away from my stuff, so I got a table saw and got working. Most cabinet threads lately have been for display cabinets, this is for the pre-painted phase:
It was a fun project and I managed to...
Finally getting a couple of new things up. The Watcher was supposed to be a fast paint job, but I got bogged down in it and put much more time into it than I planned. The Firbolg I picked up for a dollar at a resale and was a really enjoyable, simple, fast paint.

Here is my Chicago GD entry for 40k single. It made the cut but didn\'t place. The armor came out a bit flat, but overall I like the piece. The grots are my first complete sculpts(I have a greater appreciation for Brian Nelson now.) I ended up repainting the grots after Gamesday.
CMON...
Well after about nine years of steady painting I am finally facing my first serious burnout. Haven\'t picked up a brush in three months.(have played with a little greenstuff though). Not even checking CMON every day.
Due to having kids(three year old twins and a six month old) I usually...
In the article Ebonbudda linked to about beer coming through the water tap in someone\'s apartment, it mentioned beer was about $7.50 for 0.7 pint in Norway. That works out to about $10.70 a pint. Ouch! Homebrewing has got to be popular.
Got me curious about what do people pay for a pint...
...so why don\'t you? Shudders as he tries to get Gary Lewis and the Playboys out of his head.

Thanks!
Puts on old crotchety voice:
When I was a boy we didn\'t have your fancy plastic giants. We had real metal giants! And if you wanted to convert them you had to use hacksaws and power tools! And we had to walk uphill through the snow to get them.
Not technically my best piece any more, but...
This is one of my favorite sculpts. The highlighting on the whites is rather subtle, and doesn\'t show up well in the picture, but the picture is what the picture is...

Anybody know if Rackham is going to release an english version of this guy(and if when). I am more interested in the mini than the book so I guess I could order the french version though I prefer not to.
Don\'t know how to link directly to him, but you can find him in the Rackham store here in...

Okay, so I wasn\'t drunk when I made the vow, just really dumb. In this thread I vowed to paint 20 minis before I bought any more...
Anyone else bought this?
I liked the painting articles and the scenery article, but I could just cut and paste Petexxx1\'s comments about volume 1 from this thread and they would apply:

I liked the painting articles in volume 2...
