<p><font face="Times New Roman" size="3">There is no place like a pre-painted home whose roof can come off for gaming. Or something like that. While I was at Gen Con this year, I passed by this booth of pre painted buildings for all sorts of genres. Their roofs can come...
In one sense I give up. Not painting minis, I give up understanding the voters here. Good minis always get good grades, it\'s the medicore minis where strange things happen. Consider the photo I submitted on my RuneQuest ducks. It\'s a group shot with no detail at all but at the time of the...
<p><font face="comic sans ms,sand" size="3">So, I have most of the basic coats on the minis; working on 10 at a time allows me to miss at least one thing every time. These two photos show the state of two of the ten ducks, but the ducks in general are around the same state of...
<p><font face="comic sans ms,sand" size="3">Progress. I've added a few more base colors for the clothes and the weapons. Selected three of the ten for the BLING photo shot.</font></p><p><a...

<p><font face="comic sans ms,sand" size="3">They are primed black and placed on bases and ready for painting. I'll probably sart off with the white feathers, go to the orange beaks and then work on the yellow moon "hair."</font></p><p><img title="WIP Runequest Ducks" height="300"...
<p><font face="book antiqua, palatino" size="2">Even though I’ve been playing role playing games off and on since my college days in the 1980’s I have only been regularly attending Gen Con in Indianapolis for the past few years. Even then I’m mostly interested in two...
The one on the left was from a Reaper speed painting contest, the one on the right was from a Privateer Press seed painting contest. The former is so so, even in my own not so humble oppinion but the latter isn\'t all that bad for a mere 45 minutes of painting work. The PP mini was also primed...
That\'s not right: Duck! An amry!
No that\'s not right either, A duck army!
After the success of my first three ducks from lance and laser I bought three other sets of four and included the poor drummer duck whose drum stick broke.
Still needs some more base colors and then I can start...

Notes: These minis were lovingly modeled after the boblehead of the mascot of the Long Island Ducks, which is why the \"hair\" is that pue shade of yellow.
There really is highlights and shadows on the mini ... I need to work on photography skills.
Hindsight being an exct science I...
I ordered a number of minis of oriental nature for a Reaper Mini Exchange. My idea was to get two minis, one a Mikado and the other a Katisha, based on the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta. One mini, the lady wielding magic wa sleft primed but unpainted. Eventually I painted her, and wasn\'t...
Darn me for forgetting his pedigree. Can\'t post a mini without a proper pedigree now can I? It\'s a goblin, he has a fish, and the bottom says \"GWE 06\"
Who says goblins don\'t like sushi?
Yes in May. There are a couple of odd things here. I used colored metalics for the box, for example. I still need to work on details and very very very thin lines.

Aargh, I missed a spot on the wings ... still WIP.
Aargh, even on a cloudy day it\'s overexposed. I had to darken it a lot because man those toenails are cute!
Besides it\'s a WIP right? Who wants to show all the warts on a WIP?
I originally had a very witty comment for her, but I forgot to save it before I hit the \"Add this picture\" button and the network farted and I uploaded neither the image nor the comment. And then I forgot the comment. Oh well.

WIP #1) I\'m trying a bikini line flesh tone arrangement using two sets of Reaper tri tones for the flesh. Still needs some smoothing and another few layers of shadow and highlight.
These Lance & Laser figures would look lovely on a wedding cake ... assuming the cake was the size of an over sized cupcake, but I digress. Here is the VOTE link.

(This is a rant. Fruitless searching doesn\'t always put me in the best of moods.)
It\'s happened again. I order a mini, I get a mini, I prime a mini and I put it on my back burner. Then I paint the mini. OK, what mini was it? I have no clue. None. A half hour of banging my head against...
