like it 10ball! Lighting is perfect, not sure how small this guy is but if you can get the blends a bit smoother you'd be pushing for mega marks!

Thanks for the kind comments people. Will - he is about the size of a standard space marine. I know what your saying, I keep going over the blends, over & over & over to get them smooth.

Because its hard to find the time at the moment, ive implemented a strategy of doing 1 hour painting is better that 0 hours, hence the little progress.
One crazy thing the other night (after a lovely bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon) I decided to do the base before finishing his legs???:beerwave:

Note: any beginners using a wet pallet, get one with a lid - the paint don't dry - so you can come back later without mixing the colours again! ( I got mine from AndyG painting supplies

Were do you get the idy bity bits of sponge from? Their a lot better than the lichen bits people use; far better on the scale. Give us a blow by blow on the base mate its just right for that mini.

I really like how you've kept the colour range 'neutral' I often tend to veer off to an over colourful look and have to knock it back. Yours looks really natural, and I love the sparkles!
