Wow. Even your quick stuff is great. That sheer effect awesome, but I have to ask how the hell did you do that newspaper.

Pictish Mini Painting

I'm actually a man!
After last night getting a bit mopey with it all and feeling I have wasted money on a flight down I think this is the best piece of advice I have heard in 18 years of painting.

10 ball said - "As for the demon. Ive learned from bitter experience not to 'expect' anything from any competition. As a wise old American (who paints naked) once told me 'don't chase trophies' - you will lose all the fun out of painting."

RMA - yep, I was the same a few years back, I forgot what the hobby was all about. !

Wargames - yep Milosh knows his sheer
Meph - nope tried using magnifiers and I kept miss-judging the distance from the brush tip to the mini :doh!:

Blood - shes around 20mm. As for a single mini, Ive got a few larger scale projects lined up after the green knight so I was thinking of just entering my Orc shaman. I planned ahead and made sure he was on the correct gaming base.

If you enter your shaman, which I have spent a ton of time looking at, what about a little OSL on the rock right above the candle?

Love the knight! Love the exploding skellies too!

Wow man! :O Love that diorama! Great composition, nice use of miniatures and awesome paintjob on the skelies and rusted parts so far. Can't wait to see it finished! :)

Edit: And that orc shaman is a true badass! Great skin and different textures!

What's great about this dio Ten is the level of detail, your painting just keeps getting better and quicker all the time, but every time I look at this dio I find something new and that's a sign of a masterpiece ! Keep it up bud

I think you need to do a companion piece of a pissed off necromancer with a broom cleaning up all the skeleton bits.

This scene is looking epic. Can't wait to see the knight finished and the color he's going to add.

Lol but that gives me a great idea of another companion dio with a skeleton knight charging an group of empire knights?????

This is turning into a really, really, really cool piece. With all the action going on... I mean, he just bowled over that skeletal horde, caught right at the moment of impact. I can hear bones snapping and hooves thumping into the half frozen battlefield turf.

You, my friend, are onto something here.
