Some great reference picts there from much better painters than me.
A astronaut friend of mind who has attempted to paint the green knight a while ago warned me its a right pig to paint and he isnt wrong! Looking at the the mini on screen you think there are nice wide open surfaces to paint freehand on but as soon as you start the said freehand the surfaces suddenly shrink to a tiny match head in size :teeth:
Ive purposley not used any yellows in the greens to keep the knight as cold as possible to contrast againts all the warm colours of the base. All WIP.
Looking mighty fine sir! Much better than my old attempt which languishes at the bottom of the man draw unfinished unloved and unwanted well maybe its time to get it back out and start again.
This whole dio is looking great. Armour on the knight looks great as it is. Doesnt have to have everything bright green just because he is the green knight You can still see the hint of green which is enough to keep the cooler feel you are going for.
Looking great and keep it up
Yummy, the peppermint knight. The shade on the knee/lower leg/hip area looks a little too warm, but may of course make sense in the diorama..... class freehand
