Well here his is, all done (i think) Had a disaster when photoing - dropped and SMASHED the blasted thing.

All fixed now. Will put in submissions. Cheers AndyG, Milosh, Greenone and all who commented. It REALLY helps. I think I would of gave up without all the support. :) :)

forgot to say he was all painted with a W&N size 2 - yep face, eyes and all. Just thought id mention it to all the beginners who think they need a size 0000!

Right mate I've got to up my game! That's bloody brilliant! Love the base how did you do the base, cork, milliput layers, slate and were did you get the base stand? Also what did you use for the branch?

Your best by a country mile!! ......picking jaw up off the floor......:)

Oh yeah the back drop what did you use? Lovely graduated colour if it's printable could you pm me the link so I can use it pleeeeaaasee!

cheers mate, it's cork. The back drop is just a sheet of paper, it's just cream the rest is just the light.
and the stand is just some plastic bits Ive got from somewhere. The tree is fine roots of an old plant with tiny tiny
bits of green sponge stuck on (it's takes alot of patience) :)

boy that turned out nice. Really like the basework too. Congrats on a very well painting figure. I put my vote in and you deserved the high mark.

Terminator

Started this fella last night. Just been layering base coats with a dark flesh / blood red mix. Then put some contrast in with some washes of red, sepia, purples. Going for a smooth finish, thats usually missing in my minis because of rushing these first steps. :(
Put eyes in also (I always put eyes in at this stage)

As said glaze and filter and it will be all good:cool:

Maybe a good mini to do a bit of OSL on it? Maybee eyes and muzzle flash? Just a thought ignore if you want.

great sigvald, im really a fan of that base. terminator looks very orange, not sure if thats what you heading for though as i know nothing about sm's... good painting anyway :good:

Had a right game last night, power cut for two hours, just as I was starting to paint some more of the 'termi' Well I thought can not paint by candle light so I had a brainwave and was up to 1am doing this little base for him to stand on.

Ive seen one like it in the gallery so 'borrowed' the idea ;) Dont know yet if I shall make it into a diorama or just a fancy base.

All done the 'Dickens way' by candle light. I wasn't sure in the morning when I snapped the photos what the hell it would look like LOL.

Very nice 10! You've got some really nice highlights and blends on the model. The base looks really cool and well done for using candle power. :)

Very awesome vibrant red, looks like you glazed the crap out of it. Those space hulk termis are a delight to paint.....at least that is what I have heard since mine are still unpainted

stunning work on the dude with the sword and all with a size 2.

Liking the terminator so far as mentioned lots of rust would be nice but dont go OTT on it. not feeling the muzzle flash idea for those who have fired a weapon at night you will understand why.
