Excellent work sir and nice use of the wood. You really got a nice finish on him so stop checking him and go paint something new.

10ball - job done fella. Trick is to look at what you might improve on this mini and then apply that to the next. You'll a) prove you've learnt a lesson and b) be able to see a progression in your ability through your collection which is really motivational.

Make a start on Wolf!

Yep, time to call this one done. Great job. I love those classic chaos warriors, and like your paint job better than the reference.
Oh, and nice chunk of wood. ;)

Highlighted a bit more, im happy with his look - looks like hes hard as nails :)
I always start with the face and keep going with it until im happy. The theory is if I can not get the face right then there's no point in continuing. (any beginners reading this - thats just how I do it, some people leave the face to the end, its just preference.

cheers all.

first real go at the new 2 brush blending I was shown on the Golem painting day.

Andy - still thinking about the base.

Marjedi - now thats a question, colours - using a wet pallet I mixed a riot of colours including GW Tallern / dark flesh, the old GW bronze flesh, vallejo skin tone and ivory. shadowed with blues and greens.

Just a note on vallejo Ivory - this is MUST colour to get, Dragonsreach told me and Andy to get some at Salute. Super colour much much better than bleach bone or whites to highlight a colour with - the colours dont go chalky or jump to a harsh highlight.
