Got Broga to finish & my salute project but ive gone all nurgley!!
Repainted gun because it looked rushed. Also gone back to an old mini. Basecoated and a heavy wash of dark flesh (or whatever its called now)

Thats a lovely green, i have a copy of Typhus sitting on the shelf of shame that i fancy painting up, and i am looking at a lighter green than the darker you often see.

This gives a nice few ideas

Finally based Broga and put plague marine on standard base because might paint up a squad of the pesky nurgles.

Nice miniatures man. I do think the pictures that you've posted of them in your gallery are far too small though, they really do need to be bigger as at that size you can't make out the quality of the work well at all. Any smaller than this (see picture below) and its too small impo.

Started on another plague marine for my squad. Love these 1980s sculpts, I just carnt get into the new ones. Base coated / washed & started highlighting.
note the nurgling sitting on his sholder

Like the color scheme, the pose of the mini is unusual, with a gorilla look! Would be a joy to paint these old miniatures... I came to the hobby around 2008 stopping for almost 3 years and came back over a year ago. I didn't have chance to see lots of old miniatures. But more I see them more I would like to try to paint them... Hard to find especially when living in China!

Mighty fine work mate get the rest of the squad done and you'll be on to a winner me thinks.

I to miss the humour and slightly cartoony feel to the old minis. Yes it's not as anatomically true to life or rather bulging muscle super human life but so what not everything needs to be 3d printed for it to be cool though there is a place for that too.
