OMG why would you do that...the poor guy has to be in so much pain right now. Why would you put him through such toture with his leg in the vice. Seriously what is really torture is watching how awesome he is coming out and not being able to replicate your talent on my models haha. Looking very good.

The Leather looks great!
If I can say, somethning on the skin is wrong for me. You painted a shadow on areas, where must be a light. For example top of the right biceps or top areas of the chest. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel it like that.

Man the skin looks incredible to me. It's nice to see you flex your muscles on something that is a little better proportioned :) I think he's going to look really stellar on that base!

Hey 10 looking good. The leather texture is brilliant. The skin looks good but I agree with Persifal. The shadows from the necklace and the strap across his chest seem a little large right now.

Looks great. Nice to see you doing another 54mm figure. It's going to be fantastic when its all finished and on the base.

But yeah, what are you doing to his foot?! I use a jewelers vise to hold my 54 and 75mm figures. You can find them for not too much (see the link). I clamp it onto the pins in the feet. Just something to think about if you do more 54mm scale figures.

Thanks all :)
Persifal / Stewsayer - Yep your correct on the skin shadows, ive never been one for correct light placement. I just go with the flow and let the brush go where it wants.
Was going to alter it yesterday but im happy with it, lets just say its sunburn :)

Bailey - Good call on the vice, Ive ordered one .

Been finding a good way of staying motivated on finishing minis. Pick two or three minis and bounce from one to another, choosing a particular part to paint ie the leather on the barbarian, then the next day another minis face, then back etc
Its stops the one mini from going stale.

Nearly finished the squad now, will do a group shot soon. Still deciding on what im doing with the banner :(

Looking good. I can't wait to see that whole squad together.

By the way, I think I had that vise for about a year before I finally realized the handle screws off. Makes setting it down a lot easier!

Thanks :)

Wombat - some of the lines are on the sculpt but ive added to them by painting fine strokes and glazing over them.
Well there has been a thorn in my side that is the banner. Been on it since Friday, happy with it but I was with the other :struggle:
Found the image on the web and copied it. Thoughts?

Really nice work. The second banner is much better than the first. The red sets off the green uniforms, too. I agree that it needs a bit f weathering, though. The barbarian chappy is superb. I dream of one day being able to do skin tones like that. You've improved a lot since I last checked in. Respec' to tha Ten Ball.
