1st class mate. dread painting black at that scale so very interested at how you get along, i would probably use oils with an alkyd drier. My only 2p is the intensity of the eyes, imho the iris's are too small although not biologically improbable, subjective babble... ps, what's SBS?

Looking good 10, is it me or are his IRIS's (if thats a word 'irisises') Iris a little small?

Maybe there called irises (either way, the coloured bit of his eyes!)

I will find an SBS on the use of black incredibly useful. I haven't truly encountered a mini that was predominantly black. But when I do I'll be armed and dangerous...

I do hope it's the eyes we're talking about here.

Lee easy to say but difficult to get right when painting, but the Iris of the eye generally takes up 1/3rd of the visual area of the eye we see.

Top drawer, love the almost SENMM work on the lettering. Black is back! Get the 'SBS' up so we can all have a crack at it. A really healthy flesh, maybe that navy boy is wearing a little foundation Stunning mate

The paint job you're doing on this latest bust is superb! I think there is a clear improvement with each one you do (not that the earlier busts weren't good) and this latest looks really naturalistic. The blacks are pretty awsome too!
