Pictish Mini Painting

I'm actually a man!
Marines looking nice and vibrant.

The duel....well what can i say but Wibble! That is tip top matey, hopefully see you some silverware at next big comps in 2016 :)

Liking the milliput idea, but me and sculpting not on the best terms :(

The dio and the marine are looking tip top!
If you are going to use bi carb for moss try mixing in some bright (the brighter the better) green paint into the mix and then hit it with some washes/glazes once it's dry.

Meh, I don't know. The orc seems kinda lacking in detail, as Diggs mentioned, you didn't even paint on his nostril hairs.

;p

Thanks all :)
7hrs of solid painting today :)
Shame it was with a roller on the wall :(

That's cool we all have that kind of stuff to do. I just found a shit ton of dry rot at the 70yr old family cottage this weekend. Guess whose ripping open the walls before winter then rebuilding studs, floors and sistering joists & beams next spring? Yay -_-

After that you can also paint the work with a size 2 windsor and newton 7 series and you will have tons of fun! xD

Seriously speaking, that's a lot of work!! I have to sand and paint 8 doors and their marquees and I'm am lazy at it... oO'

What, still no nostril hairs?

Seriously though, looks amazing. And I feel your pain on the footing issue, I've had more than a couple of those.

Wow that's amazing! I've been trying to paint wood like the you've painted the orcs axe handle but it's coming out really flat. Have you done it just by layering on lighter shades of brown or are there other colours in there as well?

Cheers all :)

Quantum - its a base of GW vomit brown, 2. paint on 'wood grain' with VMC trans. mahogany 3. glazes of VMC trans. mahogany to shade.
4. vmc buff for the scratches and extreme highlights.

Nice and simple :)
