There are several reasons I wear a poppy for the Rememberance Day tribute.
Not least, in respect and support of the former Servicemen and Women who\'s actions and sacrifices have provided me with the freedoms that I have enjoyed all my life, but as a continuous tribute to members of my family who served, survived or were killed during conflicts.
George Urwin, Ran away from home. Enlisted under age during the First World War and was killed on his 16th Birthday during the Battle of the Somme. (1)

Jack Grievson Served in the Fleet Air Arm as a pilot and took part in the attack on the Turpitz.

And Corpuscle: You may not approve, like so many others, of the political reasonings behind the Gulf War/ War on Terror. But the Servicemen and women out there, deserve our respect for doing their duty at the bidding of the politicians
WE elected.
