Dipping is where you dip your miniatures into Wood Stain in order to give them depth. It\'s a very quick way to paint a large number of miniatures quickly and to a good looking standard.

A lot of miniature painters disdain this method as you don\'t paint the mini, just dip and and little skill is required.

Also everything ends up shaded with brown so it only really works with certain colours.

There is a tutorial in the Articles section IIRC

Yes, thanks Sonnyslayer. The before and after picture posted in that thread by freakinacage made the whole thing a lot clearer.

i try to help!! gonna give this a go myself now. just to see what you can achieve. it\'ll be a quick way of finishing off some of the old units that i have half or unpainted before selling on ebay!

i think it\'s a great technique for those who game rather than paint or who need a load of stuff done, fast. great job rev!

woah didnt expect this thread to get ressurected!

Its a good technique to get big armies done quick.

I won\'t ever use it again, as it wasnt as satisfying as actually painting but i really wanted to add it to my repetoire of skills!

I\'ve since sold the army on... ebay!
