I like the first one a bit more, but honestly it all looks really nice.
I think the technique you used/effect you were going for on the first one requires a really flawless application. Meaning that the mistakes that you made (few as they were) really were magnified by this application. In short, feel proud that you attempted such and advanced technique and it\'s visually accessable. Meaning, when you look at the model, it\'s clear that the little crystal ball is the source of the light. The one thing I noticed (and bear in mind you paint a hell of a lot better than I do, so take this with a grain of salt) is the the lighting/shadows on the face felt a bit too extreme for me. While the lighting may have been technically accurate, softening some of those transitions out to give an uninterupted view of her face might have helped.
Anyway, once again you have some really lovely looking models here, and I for one think you should feel excited about having attempted and successfully navigated a VERY advanced conceptual technique. Thanks for sharing, that way we can all improve.
