I just give them a quick once-over...so basically enough to drag the spray across the mini...front, side, back, other side.

I keep the can about 10\" to 12\" away. The same type of spray that would give your primered mini that grey/grainy texture. This makes the mini appear really toned down like a light grey was added to all your paint.

Later, after the matte is dry, I do the same thing again. After the second coat, that toned down grey disappears.

Finally, I spray a little matte into a pickle-jar lid and hand brush the varnish onto all the spots that would rub off during normal game play. Protruding edges...weapons...etc.

Yep. That\'s what I do. But then, that\'s me, isn\'t it?

Never seen Testors Dullcote in the UK.. Might be an opportunity here for someone like Gamemart to import a case or two..hint...hint...

I use a product from Germany, I think it is called Efke or something. I bought it from my local (serious) artshop and it works a treat. I have had loads of people ask me for the precise name and source, but I just don\'t know at the moment as my only can is in storage and the shop I bought it from is 500 miles away.

When I retrieve my gear I will enlighten you all. Don\'t hold your breath however.

You can speed the process up by buying my house in Portsmouth and then I can finally move properly...
