The painting of the figure is over.
I just have to make a small base simple but effective ^ ^
Lots of fun to paint this figure: we can read eerywhere that people deal about the resemblance between Rackham and Imbrian Art minis but that's because it's true!
I've founded the same feelings by painting the Imbriani Arts models!

Hope you like it!

Very very long / too long in the wilderness for me ...
Finally, the fault is no fault but the reason is manifold: o)

The point is that June is the month Iwok (well I like to say that haha) because I'm having so much time painting: between surgery with 15 days at home in mid June and fatherhood on the fire, provided on 07/07/11 well I told you if the GD had been in July or August I would have monopolized all categories ... or not haha!

In short this is the second Goblin Imbriani painted for Art.
I admit that it gave me less interested in photo and in real property is the same.
The sculpture is fine although accurate may be rough when it comes to painting. too many frills, details which can not be justified and which unfortunately in the end, play the opposite effect: to make the figure less readable and less fun to paint ...

Never mind, it's still good cam, even very good. I really feel the same as the painting of figs rackham: the parallel is more than obvious but I must say it is a credit to Jody's dad Imbriani Art.
And when you see his last prods .. It leaves more enthusiastic: o)

Time for shoots ;o)

And some close up.

Hope you like it.

Have a great week-end friends.

Lovely stuff Iwok :good: It's interesting what you say about a few too many details, as I often burn out on figures & leave them incomplete if they're too complicated. These are however on my wants list :D I'm hanging on for the new Automaton eyeball creature to appear in the shop, then will bite the bullet & face the Australian $ conversion rate :D

Which one are you painting next?

Cheers, B.

BPI thank you.
When I say too much detail it is understood that I did not say this entirely negative way.
Just as for play figures, even for a skirmish game, this level of detail is not justified.
After, well we will not sulk if figs come out with such quality hihi.

For fig Automaton for the range of Imbrian Art: actually really suits me especially for the eye.

The next figure is the version off the SS Knight Darkson Design and after the last goblin shrike Imbrian of Art.

And hope you enjoy them as much hihi.

Have a nice day.

Beautiful work! I love the color choices. The transitions of the shading are wonderful. And the checks on his hood are amazing. All on a mini that is quite small. Will you finish the base? I imagine him in a swamp with some lovely murky water and moss hanging from his branch. :D

First I want to say that you are an amazing painter. Second, thanks for showing us the amazing minis from Imbrian Arts, I hope they stay in stock, I will definitely be ordering some goblins. Thanks again for posting.

The tank is fantastic. I like the treads and the blue glow from the dish.

The minis from Imbrian Arts are also fantastic!

I hope to see more soon.

Awwww, now there's pretty tanky, yes yes, pretty. :D I love how the shading gives it an illustrated look.

Here is my latest painting.
Done for the online contest ont the Confrontation site ( http://confrontation.xooit.fr/index.php ), I finished in speed during the night.
Good to work on a Rackham miniatures with MNM I like (well as I try to do ahah ;)

The contest required the original base ... According to no longer require ;( So, I am disgusted to have a poor black plastic base :(

As I lose th e backpack, I decide to make a little "conversion" of his left arm.
And as for sword we have human and elves, I see a dwarf with an ax ! As Gimli said in the LOTR "and my AAAAAXXXX !" :)

Hope you like it.

Fantastically pingy and shiny NMM. Yeesh. One day I hope to be able to even consider painting that smoothly, but it's a looooong way away. Also - that ophidian is one of the most eye catching models I've seen in ages. The blue/gold/red combo on the parasol is spot on, not to mention the smoothness of the blending on the blue. Very nice saturated fantasy style. Me likey very much :)

@me_in_japan:

Glad to read this kind of word to start the day ah ha.

Thanks and don't worry because what I can do in painting is just the result of many years of trying ;)
