It was not my intention to insult anyone from the team. If I sounded like that have my honest apologise.
Maybe my judgement was to harsh and only done on a small base (the high elf book mainly) I know that there are some real sick (in a positive way) examples even in that book, but i just saw that some of the painting was reduced in complexity since the books incarnation two editions earlier (didn`t have the one in between so the changes might have occured a lot earlier than I realised it.
A friend told me that he thought the same for orks and goblins so I made the post. Maybe on unfair ground`s so I humbly apologise
And no, I couldn`t paint like that even If my life depended on it. I need 2 weeks to finish 1! rank and file figure! :D

there is absolutely no need to apologies i didn\'t take offence at all. you are right to point out the differences in quality. these will of course get smaller and smaller until they are all at the level of the later stuff :)

Not to butter you guys/gals up. But the painting in the Chaos warrior codex is amazing - back to the drool-amazing-wtf days. :)

Hi, thanks to all for your kind comments on the team,
First off as both Joe and Fil have said the focus now is very much on quality, planning and utilising our rich backgrounds within our painting.
Over the past year the studio has thrown down the gauntlet to the eavy metal team and let us loose on the miniatures with more input and freedom within our work.
We are working well in advance of what you are seeing right now and all i can say is it just gets better.
We seem to definatly have the \'spark\' back and are now re-stamping our team name back on the mini painting community, which is where it should be! :)
I for one and very proud to be part of such a dedicated, talented and hard working team, looking forward to next year!
cheers all! Daz
