1: The Littlest Hobo lived in Toronto. The farthest afield he ever roamed was up north, near Kenora. He was too smart to go west to Saskatoon.

2: Only in a Saskatoon GW \'Elite\' would you find d10\'s. Dice that have nothing whatsoever to do with their d6 games.

3: Well, it\'s been more than 10 years since I was visiting family out there. The arcades closing shouldn\'t surprise me. Oh, and that was you yelling \'Mortal Kombat!\'? Belated nice to have met you.

4: EVERY airport has a daily to Chicago. Chicago is a special city, full of wondrous magical properties that make it exempt from being an \'international\' flight.

5: All of Saskatoon is on the west side of Toronto. Q.E.D.

Personally, I feel keeping threads on topic is highly overrated. If you had a discussion with folks in a bar, you wouldn\'t force them to go back on topic, would you?

I suppose I can understand Uber\'s point a bit. But, sometimes it\'s good to see other\'s viewpoints on controversial topics. The \'freedom\' of anonymity that we all share is nice at times. People in real life so rarely want to discuss controversy.

However ....Starting a thread dealing with negligent homicide, school shootings, fat taxes, politics, or any other topical news related items is OBVIOUSLY going to turn into a soapbox and debate thread.

It\'s not rocket science. I don\'t see how anyone with over 500+ posts wouldn\'t understand that.

This is a forum about miniatures, and that is the common thread we all have, but it is not the only defining things in our lives.

Don\'t want controversial topics? Then don\'t start them. Stick to \'What is your favorite smell\'.

see thats the thing...i wasnt ever talking about threadjacking, i could care less about it, what i was stating was that too many people seemed to be negative and complainy (i know thats not a word) all of the time. every other post for the longest time seemed to be gloom and doom and then the past week we started seeing funny things again, and sure enough it all started up being gloom and doom again. the whole world is supposedly 40% depressed due to problems with the economy. i\'m tired of being upset and want to do something about it and hope others will as well. hell i have to get a second job now that it looks like my job will most likely be cut back next year, but what am i gonna do cry about it? no i just grin and bear it and keep moving on.

its how you see things. the glass is either half full or half empty.

edit: the uber-radom monster will soon be making an appearance.

Threadjacking is awesome. In a specific painting question and the liek maybe not so cool but here in General Discussion land it\'s what I look for.

I agree with Uberdark about the inevitable and depressing tones many of the threads take nowadays. Which is why I don\'t mind the comedy threadjack from time to time. GOOD TIMES!

Sweden does look like a dick (AWESOME!), The little Hobo is an elitist turd who thumbs his nose and Saskatchewan (who knew, what a dick!), and Einion has access to many crazy and obscure cartoon frames. What\'s not to love?
