The mace head could use a little more attention as well as the bat wings on his head...that the mace is bent also detracts a little...I think a tighter color scheme would work better and would make him look a bit more intimidating...
The mace, I think, got bent in transit, I did not have a camera or decent internet at the time and so sent them off and she, respectably

, left the mini as it came out of the box. To me the bend detracts alot less than the fact I could not decide what the heck to do painting that part.

As to the reds, I used almost all Reaper masters on them, except the highest RMS are to orange for my taste. The actual formulae on those are lost in Beaumont somewhere, but it starts with a Liquitex heavy out of the tube a notch up from the lightest RMS true red and gets taken up to pure then I add (gasp

) actual flourescent red until pure for the very tip of the highlights. Some of my favorite fabrics around the house and at the fabric store don\'t get white or washed out highlights, so sometimes I just avoid that when painting and the flourescents (when you can find a fine enough pigment) are perfect for it, IMHO.
