Just looking for opinions on this guy.

I know what I see as his blah spots, but I want to see what ya\'ll think (the other half says I am horribly over critical of myself)

To me the reds and blues look very nice. I would be interested to hear how you did the reds...

The mace head could use a little more attention as well as the bat wings on his head...that the mace is bent also detracts a little...I think a tighter color scheme would work better and would make him look a bit more intimidating...

Red and blue are good. Yellow and metals could use more contrast. The wings on his hat look silly but that ain\'t your fault ;)

The mace, I think, got bent in transit, I did not have a camera or decent internet at the time and so sent them off and she, respectably :), left the mini as it came out of the box. To me the bend detracts alot less than the fact I could not decide what the heck to do painting that part. IMHO

As to the reds, I used almost all Reaper masters on them, except the highest RMS are to orange for my taste. The actual formulae on those are lost in Beaumont somewhere, but it starts with a Liquitex heavy out of the tube a notch up from the lightest RMS true red and gets taken up to pure then I add (gasp ) actual flourescent red until pure for the very tip of the highlights. Some of my favorite fabrics around the house and at the fabric store don\'t get white or washed out highlights, so sometimes I just avoid that when painting and the flourescents (when you can find a fine enough pigment) are perfect for it, IMHO.
