Thanks guys. Alright this is very close to being done, I attached the rider and it just needs some final touch ups and to be affixed to the base.

Gotta say, being done with 2 weeks left until they have to be handed in is a strange feeling. Unlike last year where I was still painting the night before. lol

Thanks, Diggs, hopefully the judges feel that way too...

Well here are my 5 entries for Crystal Brush. I learned a lot from last year's competition and I feel much more confident going in this year.

My favourite is the "gladiator", alongside with the hoplite. But the other look really cool too! I specially like the colour on the water below the octopus.

Thanks a lot guys, I'm pumped for this year's show. But it's still over a week away, I don't know what to do with myself. lol Maybe I should get back to painting that Sanguinary Priest I started about 6 months ago. Or paint that Alpha Legion guy I bought at last years Adepticon. I have been slowly adding on to that first sculpture of mine, so here's a progress pic on that:

After the show I'm definitely going to start some big projects. I have that 75mm pirate from Pegaso Models, Papa Jambo from Black Sailors and I got one of my dream models for Christmas, the Abyssal Warlord from Scale 75. I also have a diorama planned for an upcoming CB, either next year or the year after. I've had one of the models sitting built in front of me for well over a year now and done nothing with it.

Reminds me the black knight from Monty Piton's LOL
Now seriously, I agree with Diggs on the belt and the chain, they look great. The white "overcoat" seems pretty smooth too and I can't point out major proportion issues.

Well that's what I was going for, Maenas, so I'm glad it worked. lol

I figured for a first sculpt it would be easier to do something that's missing a few limbs. Less work.

Yeah, this is the figure that got me to sign up with CMON. Someone linked a paint job onto another forum and I had to make an account right away so I could vote a 10. I've wanted to paint it ever since.

Damn straight, BAM. Originally I wanted to do a diorama with it, but I couldn't find a good sculpt to match King Arthur from the movie, and I'm definitely not good enough to sculpt him too.

So the main body had a few gaps I needed to fill, nothing too bad and was a pretty easy fix:

I've also started on his shield, here it is pre-freehand:
