So if this whole "made the cut" thing is true, two of my pieces did make it in. The Archangel and the Ogre squad.

Yes, I'm very happy to have made any cut, haha. And I already have big plans for next year. Now it's time to start working on all these minis in front of me and improve my skills.

That's a nice dwarf, Canny. I really like how you handled the orange hair. In Bailey03's thread he mentioned a bunch of colors the he uses a lot from the Reaper Master Series paints, so at Adepticon I stopped by the Reaper booth and bought them all. That purple was one of his suggestions, it's Burgundy Wine. I just had to incorporate it into this piece.

I actually started with a dark purple-brown for his hair, I have a mixture of Vallejo, P3 and Citadel. I find that some of the Vallejo and P3 colours I could not live with out, I have enough paints now to mix somthing to my liking now, I usually use 2-3 colours now for one colour to get some subtle difference in them, I watched a video a while ago on this little fella from Alexi, dam good video. Happy painting enjoy your new colours

The Grand Master is mostly done, I have a few spots to clean up then add the snow to the base. For now, here's a preview shot:

Just going to be a simple snowy scene, with ice float on the water that I hope turns out to actually look like an icy river. Nothing too fancy.
Up next I'll start work on this guy:
As well as starting a "practice project" which is an Imperial Fist space marine. I'll be using this to practice 1) painting yellow, 2) scenic bases, 3) NMM, 4) freehand banners, 5) different types of weathering.
