Good luck with the Massive Voodoo comp. I'm thinking of entering my Gokan in the newbie section as I've never entered a competition before. Though I may need a new photo.

That is some awesome stuff Flu, nice display of quality mini. Have fun at the event and hope to see you next year at Chicago, all I dream lately is me next year at Chicago with the gang. Last time I when to big competition was in 1999 and I was alone, I wish I had friends of at least my love.

Yeah Ter, next year's Crystal Brush will be pretty fun. I expect a very large CMON contingent. Then in 2017 you guys can all come experience a summer in Chicago when the World Model Expo comes downtown in July.

Another model hop for me, this time I started on the BA Sanguinary Priest. In the pictures the white armor is 90% done, the green vial is finished, the robe has some highlighting and everything else is just basecoated.

Now since he's a "priest" I thought I'd give him a purple vestment robe with some brocade. Similar to this:

Just another excuse to practice freehand.

Dam! Looking forward to that freehand looks tricky! What's your plan? draw it on some paper to scale 1st so you know what to do. Great start.

Yeah I'll cut some paper into the size of the robe and sketch out a few patterns. Then when I find one I like I'll employ the dot technique, painting hundreds to thousands of dots until it looks good.

So after drawing out a few designs I think I settled on this one

I'm going to paint it just like the progress in the pictures, dots to lines to circles. Once the third step is done I'll reevaluate it and see if painting on the blood drops would work. Getting the exact spacing needed will be quite the challenge, especially when you take into account the natural movement on the model. It's going to take a very long time to get right.

Back to the Imperial Fists banner, more freehand and NMM madness

filigree is hard as fuck to paint, Yellow One is a mad man that may not be human. He makes it look so easy.

And I did the leather belt and boots on the pirate Ogre, as well as the gut plate

As for the boots I want to get some salt stains on there but I'm not quite sure how to approach it so it doesn't look like I just messed up trying to highlight with white paint.

looking good mate, Tero is correct thinn ya paint and wipe tip on towel to get rid of most of the paint then with the tip or the side of its possible slowly build up the layers or white. for the belly shield thingy you will need to make a few transtitions to get to white, mix in your yellow until you get to white making each transition smaller. :)
I like your patten too, you have balls! I think that would scare me :)
