Derek is an extremely “solid” miniature painter. He’s among the best artists today scratching and clawing his way from the start many years ago. Today he shows what hard work and dedication can have one achieve.

Thanks all, that red is actually Kalahari Orange from Scale 75. Like the box art, I'm going to do that bit of fur like a tiger pelt.
BAM, those are some very kind words. I definitely wouldn't be the painter I am today without you and others from the forums giving help and advice. This month is actually my 6 year anniversary for taking up the painting hobby. I like to look back at all my old stuff and see where I started and how I progressed. I noticed that my abilities really improved after my first CB and talking with you David for hours at the cases.

Really nice Flu, that army guy is a great show of detailed textures, the shovel looks good from that angle. I am just not sure about the guy's gaze, is it me or he looks funny? Anyway great start on the base as well, looking forward to see developments.

Tremendous show of talent again derek. This guy beats out even my favorite from you the Sean Connery piece!!!and the water each time you do it it gets more and more perfect I feel this will be your best attempt as it’s bout 5 water pieces later and you know how I feel stay with your strengths and water is one of them.
