Absolutely ridiculous...

Sounds like every Saturday around here. lol
I should have let them jump on her every Saturday morning so I\'d be able to let her sleep in on Valentine\'s as well! You\'ve got this thing figured out better than I have.

...believe me I got yelled at for my last ex for bringing her roses.
Exactly! Definitely a profound \'wtf\' moment for me. After about 10 minutes of being told off, with no idea of what I\'d done wrong, I\'d had enough.. So I asked if she was feeling guilty about something... :duh: Not my finest moment at all. lol

Well said. Special people are special all the time.

Oh yeah, welcome Sage. :)

You might want to rethink that paragraph, it sounds incredibly rude to me....
I suppose I\'ve just learnt who/what I can/cannot count on. The last time I bought a dozen white roses for the ex-gf, I just managed to earn myself more shit. But you\'re right, since CMON isn\'t exactly the place where such views and experiences are well tolerated.

Aw, come one. I wasn\'t trying to scold you or anything, reading it was just kinda... confusing... can\'t put my finger on it. anyway I was certainly not trying to tell you what you can or can\'t say - sorry if I sounded like that.

Also, I bagged my first girlfriend with 18 an I have no intentions of letting her go. Keep yer paws to yerself, this one\'s mine!

I got my girlfriend a dozen roses, gave them to her tonight (yes it\'s a romantic evening, but she\'s on the phone right now ;)) because we\'ll be apart on Wednesday. Thing is, I picked out some very nice \"antique\" colour roses (whites and pinks and oranges) at a florist and they didn\'t cost an arm and a leg. Red roses are overrated, these ones look really lovely - yes, she thinks so too :D

But yes, in the past I have paid a ridiculous sum for a dozen red roses on V-day, that was in my callow youth however, with a very different woman.

I got two yellow and one pink (three red would have cost the same anyways...). Three roses, and I fly in three days later so at least I have an \"excuse\" lol...

Amen to that :D However I got my friend something for V-day and we\'re not even dating (yet!) :p Then again, random gifting is something I do all the time, and on rare occassions I use a good old fashioned holiday as an excuse!

Anyway I just hope we can at least spend a little time together Wednesday. I have an exam at 11am and 6:30pm at university, and two more the next day. And she has one on both the 14th and 15th as well. Huzzah!
