I hate Apple. I really hate them. Hate, hate, hate. Therefore, I really, really, really don\'t want to give them any money whatsoever. Anyone got any good alternatives to iTunes when it comes to buying legal mp3s?
Yup. I don\'t expect people to agree with me - that\'s just my personal feelings up there. I just can\'t stand the smugness and if there\'s one thing I (me personally, doesn\'t apply to anyone else) loathe, it\'s following the herd. Seems like everythings got to be \"iThis\" and \"iThat\" nowadays and it really gets up my nose. Plus, I love my laptop and my non-iPod mp3 players, but I don\'t feel that I have to evangelise about them to everyone I meet, unlike pretty much EVERY SINGLE mac/apple user/fan I\'ve ever met. Seems like they don\'t need ANY encouragement from me.Originally posted by wiccanpony
I on the other hand \"love Apple\"
each to their own
Yep, I do still buy CDs when the mood strikes me. Not that often tho, even before the advent of mp3s. Mueller often has good 4-for-3 offers on DVDs and CDs, so I raid there sometimes. What I mostly want an online music store for is random songs. Y\'know, stuff where I really don\'t want to buy the whole album. Or for sampling a band before I commit to splurging on one of their albums.Originally posted by ScottRadom
There\'s also these places that sell music already downloaded onto CD\'s with a collection of songs burned right onto them.
I think they\'re called .... Moooozik Stores.... or something like that.
Anyone else actually go to the store and buy CD\'s? The only reason I ask is that while I use iTunes, mostly for songs I already know and love, you just don\'t get the exposure to stuff you might get at a well run music store. I for example would never have heard of or been able to buy the album \"Total Brutal\" by Austrian Death Machine -A heavy metal concept band where the singer impersonates Arnold Schwarzenneger- if I purely went digital for my music.
I still love walking into a store and flipping through music, and with the advent of the internet CD\'s ar dirt cheap!

Ditto. I especially hate it when they\'re not Apple products so they\'re just trying to sponge off the cachet.Originally posted by Amazon warrior

Well in all fairness the Mac fans are rightly pleased by their chosen hardware and it\'s only natural to want to share with the majority, who don\'t know what they\'re missing in most cases. Not much different from Firefox fans wishing to share the love with IE users and few people would begrudge them thatOriginally posted by Amazon warrior
