Ok no Lego man for scale but got a few greys on the big lad got to do the shading and then a big big job of glazing but here is the start of a mammoth project ahem.;)

Well until I see a Lego man for scale I'm not going comment on the great start and real smooth greys :)

Really like the figure, might order if it stilll is available. Nice start on the grey and I would say you are ready for this figure. Will nice to follow your progress on this one.

Working the shadows at the moment and trying slowly to glaze a bit of dusty brown on to the skin (real elephants seem to be a browny grey) going to pink up the folds at the knee elbow hands etc to add a bit of warmth.

thats a really great start Andy! wish i was this fast, ive hit the wall with my painting and going nowhere atm.

littlebit annoying to have to twist my head watching the images though ;P

I'm fortunate enough to have my touchpad on "Rotation lock" this morning so I can look at the pictures, but on my laptop yesterday……

Anyhow my first thought this morning was "Bahsterd" then second thought was 'tones of purple' in the shadows. It would look good with some subtle tones of purple.

Yep studio mcvey lovely piece if you can get hold of it I urge you too. Yeah I am a bahsterd he he ;). Great minds think alike mike there is some purple in the shadows I'm slowly layering the glazes up. Steph you've got to paint or the magic will go out of the world!

will use proper camera next time.

Done some more loving this mini. Right the photos should be the right way around but they have come out slightly desaturated the colours are more vibrant will try and take a pic at work with my proper camera to show the real depth on this.

Been slowed right down with the most indescribable tooth ache but back to business today so tusks and claws and cloth today
