Whatever you guys do next, I want in on. I was out of town when you started this one, but I like the idea of a bunch of takes on the same mini!

Camera will suffer the death of the great drop kick!

Id be up for naked girls barbarian though to be fair it might be better doing a totaly cool model thats different so we learn new techniques etc will have a look around. Maybe a totaly cool scifi?

Any hoo done a bit more work on the barbarians base though my F*CKING camera refuses point blank to focus properly gonna take some better photos on monday when i get back to work.

Crits/ suggestions guys.( other than buy a new bloody camera!)

That's really looking mint Andy (less the dodgy pictures of course ;-) ) I like the base a great deal and the last step you took made some lovely tweaks. I'm also digging your gold nmm. But here's a question - what's a 'live' base?

It were the cracks and nots and weird growths are left in rather than a perfectly smooth machined square block. Makes for a much more interesting plinth you can incorporate the weirdness into the scene like here the weird nobbly growth on the wood made an ideal place to stick a bit more greenage on. If you have a look at 10 balls chaos lord he just finnished youll see a skeleton coming out on the crack that runs through his live wood base.

Doesnt always work I wouldnt use live bases for space ship type scenes unless it was a space hulk or involved tyranids then I might.

Lovely fig meets the spec but my only concern is its gonna be a very difficult fig to paint. Hmm I think it should be something everyone can just pick up and blast away at this one were doing now has the benefit that its suitable for all levels every one can do it to a good standard. To be honest i think Id struggle to do a good job of the Andrea one I think it is beyond my abillity for now:( Sorry dude dont mean to be rude to you :)

Looking really nice Andy. The only thing I'd try to add is maybe some height to the base some how. I can't tell if you have or not, but to push the metals further you could glaze in some greens to simulate the leaves being reflected. That would help tie the mini into the base a tad more.

I look forward to being part of the next paint session, when the next miniature is chosen! =)
