Well get 'em done then you slacker :p

They look great in photos, it would be sweet to check them out.

Don't worry about the PM, i'm probably worse than anyone I know at getting back to people! Looking forward to seeing you there mate, i'll be there on the Sunday all day.

Lol that engrossed with my painting I just washed my brush in my hot chocolate first time for that. Hey how many of you have done that?

Here we go Lee you asked for the next one done some more on the fourth and got most of he light placement done.

for the freehand, i guess you have to figure out the suitable dilution for the paint - experiance.. practise. and most of all, endurance, as everything take bloody more hours than you expect.
Personally i only use water but i guess some flow improver works too. not washed my brush in hot chocolate, but in coffee many times :)

I bet your getting fed up of painting black now? Ive painted at work once, it was that little knight mini - one of my favs :)

Yep sure am! Just one more to go after this.

Students aren't back yet and they're doing up my lab so I'm hiding out in the back office were no one goes, better than painting at home he he he.

Work is the only place I get any painting done anymore. And Andy here is quickly becoming the master of the unmasterable, i.e. painting good looking black.

Bit more done only one more after this. Got to do the cross and the shading on the shoulde pads quite pleased with this one I think it's the best of the squad is apart from the emperors champion. Quick question to those in the know is it ok by GD rules for a squad to have a hero (like the emperors champion) and four normal tactical bods and then have that called a squad? Also anyone with an iPad do you know why all the photos look normal and upright on the iPad but are on their sides when I look on the laptop?

My iPhone does the auto-rotate thing too.

As for squads:

  • Category 2
    Warhammer 40,000 Squad
    This category is for Warhammer 40,000 squads or squadrons of five or more models. This is also the category for Epic 40,000 detachments and includes gangs and mobs from Necromunda. All squads must be 'legal' in game terms.


    You'd have to take a gander at the latest Space Marine codex to see if that's legal.

Cheers mate. Glad it's not just me on the iPad. No bloody clue with the rules for warhammer 40k I've not played in over twenty five years! Some one do me a favour and have a look would ya pretty please I don't want to wander down to GD and get told by some GW employee that my squad ain't a squad that would piss me off no end I'd rather know now and paint up a sergeant or something and enter the emp as a single fig instead. Or something.

Sorry mate - google is failing me here. I will be at the house of someone with the DV box Sunday, but I won't be able to check the rules until then. Hopefully someone can chime in before that.
