Phew what a difficult Christmas! Two kids both fantastic and well behaved but one of them one and running about and into everything he shouldn't be into; bloody non stop! No chance to do some painting apart from today both behaved like gold and I actually got some painting done!
Don't know whether it was the lack of painting or something but I just bashed this out in no time about 6 hours start to finish! Great JMD bust a Christmas gift from ten ball (cheers mate) some sort of Cthulhu deep one or something. Great sculpt and hardly any prep needed I'll have to get more of their stuff. Anyway took a step by step photo thingy. So just started with Catachan green and camo green and highlited up adding white to the mix. Then glazed in cool red followed by purple and then some blue in the glazed into the recesses. The eyes are just a small area of regal blue and then slowly highlite upto white mixing in. Teeth and horns are vallejo air panzer brown i think (*label came off) mixed up with more and more white. Job done.
For a speedy paint job very pleased could have done better if I took my time but inspiration was there and I dont think it came out to bad for an evenings work.

I love the glowing subdued OSL...nice and bright, but not comicaly lighting everything around.
And you are doing better than me. I have one kid and i did my first painting in six months last week (my water pot was completely dried out). He started walking which is a challenge, but is starting to be able to entertain himself for chunks of time...so i might start getting to paint again.

Well if I could be A**ed to do a WIP thread you could tale the Rip out of me. :clap::kiss:
The trouble with me is once I get 'Focused In' I forget to Take piccys.
I'm liking what I see Andy and as I said last year; You've developed as a Painter and I consider both you and Lee (10 Ball) as better than I by some considerable amount.

Yeah sometimes a better close up of a picture would save people like me from making the same mistake or I need new glasses...
