A lot of different textures and surfaces for you to work on there. I think you need to go bold with you color scheme here. Some pastel-type colors maybe. Some teal maybe. Also it looks like it's begging for an uber creative base. Can't wait to see what you go with!!!

Think of him as genetically modified with chrome senmm scales. The only thing to do after the that lovely ogre. Lol :D

First off, whoa on the finished yet not finished mini. Looks great and I am sure it tastes even better once you scrap away the paint and skullz. Im going to vote on it now. Second if you did put somethign for him to look at perhaps have a goblin messing his britches in fear because he is one mean looking mug. Third, your going to kill me with all this awesome if you keep it up. Im not sure I can take this Rackham mini your about to do. The mini itself just looks wicked but then you go and say something silly like "Im going to paint him next." And I am walking away now with my jaw on the floor. Can't wait to see it my friend.

Yes!! Except he needs to do his SENMM inside a cave or something with OSL reflections all over the place. Maybe some giant mural on the ceiling of some epic scene. Basically something impossible

Geeze dude, I thought Axenarf would be mid 9's for sure... Maybe you should have put a dead space marine on the base, or tits... no accounting for taste I guess.

I am really interested to see what you do with this Rackham Serpent, maybe something like this for the skin:

You could swipe some of Bailey's white technique while he is gone :)

Absolutely stunning work Andy. I can't imagine how many hours you must have put into this masterpiece. The NMM is spot on and the gold trim really balances the armour perfectly. The base is spectacular too and I agree that a focal point would really push the piece to "eleven". There have been some great suggestions so I look forward to seeing how you decide on that final flourish.

[Edit] Dragonsreach: help! In my haste to comment I forgot to select my score and left an embarrassing default of 6/10! Please correct, if possible!

Sorry I'm a bit late, but I voted for the Ogre. Excellent NMM.. I look at my attempts and they simply don't stack up. Well done!

Cheers mate! Yeah he's got good he has I reckon he sold his soul to Santa as he old joke goes! Anyway didn't do a snake skin look gone with a purpley undead flesh look. A lot more to do on the skin yet but here's some pics so far
