Ok been a while posting on my wip as I've been concentrating on the Gokan comp and it kind of burnt me out a bit.

Any way im onto an nmm fest with the lovely Sangiunor GW sculpt. I've always loved it and I've finally dusted it off and made a start. Quite pleased with the effect so far although a bit of redefining is needed on the face. I'm going to go all nmm so steel for the wings and secondary bits of metal.

Very nice mate, more realistic than mine. I've gone for a more cartoon look.
I reckon you can get those edge highlights even more crisp in places.

Lovely chrome gonna have a go at that on the wings.

cheers for the nice comments! Yep Lee especially on the eyebrows a bit of negative paint and sharpen it up. Just different styles you really are the king of the cartoon look.

Holy crap. I thought you had joined us over here in TMM land for a sec. You are right about his face though. Looks a bit like "Oh geez, did I forget to lock the front door..." He sort has one eyebrow furrowed in a quizzical manner :)

Welcome back to the wonderful world of NMM! I love the intensity of the colour you've achieved. I allways run shy of going too yellow in my NMM gold but having seen what you've done here I think I should be a bit braver. Are you going to add any other colours as reflections - maybe a few touches of light blue from the sky for example?

The yellow isn't quite as bright in natural sunlight as in the photo its under quite a bright incandescent bulb so it tends to make it a bit more yellow than it actually is but I did put the tiniest smidgeon of bubonic brown in with my normal mix of just snakebite brown so it was a tad more yellow than normal.

Yes definitely some more spot reflections of color but at the end not now.

Andy as you know I learned my NMM gold from you. I still struggle with it a bit at times, but I think every I have an image like this to study it really helps. One thing I think I've suffered from is that I use Cobra Leather from Vallejo Game (color and air). It is the closest I could find to Snakebite, which is discontinued. However, SB is a bit more yellow I think. I am glad you mentioned the bubonic brown, I think I'll include some of this in my future mixes. Also, thinking about trying Scale75's NMM gold kit...

The statue is amazing. Been waiting to see you tackle an almost all gold mini. If you go SENMM on the wings, you truly will go crazy with that many horizon lines.

....you won't do it.....;)

Nice work Andy, sparkles looking good. Dennis he will darken it up, I usually do the highlights 1st then darken it up.
