Shaded down the scrolls with a bit of dark grey to help desaturate. Done abase to stick him on need to glaze and tidy up a few chips and scratches. But into the final stretch.

Glorious NMM gold, I think something should be done to make the face stand out more, right now his pecs are the focus point, I think the metal halo can be used to attract attention higher if you make it more contrasty than the wings and dark towards the face.

mighty fine painting. I agree the parchment could do with a little lightening to move it away from the gold colours.
The lightning on the sword still doesnt work for me but its how it look to you irl that counts.

I really like how the colours you've used enhance the models framing and drawing the eye to certain areas, very nicely done

Yeah im thinking of re doing the sword I'll have a look tonight and make my mind up. Also the face possibly a few glints. Cheers.

Ok sword contrast upped and the same with the face. Took the whole back section off and re glued as it was sitting too proud also sorted out the chips and scratches through handling too much and dull coated. Happy with this one.

Yup have to agree, a veritable NMM clinic. So jealous of your golds...and overall you are a master of the glare points.

My only issue with the whole thing is the base. It's a good base but not sure it is epic enough for the mini. I think it needed a base the emphasized its height, like it is rising to some paramount position. Something that gives a feeling of rising from the ashes. But I also understand the desire to move on and start something else, so still a 9.5 from me. In the gallery yet?

the base is deliberate as the mini is going to be part of my squad entry for GD '15 so it has to be a standard gaming base.

Gallery I don't really bother much with these days I might put him in.
