As a kid still hold some dear memories of my first taster..G-force

EArkham

Necromancer
Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi is currently rocking my small, self-centered world.

Full Metal Panic (all the series), School Rumble, Midori no Hibi, Suzuka, Shuffle!, Elfen Lied, Azumanga Daioh, Karin, Noein... all favourites. Twelve Kingdoms is amazing.

Corso, I am so with you on the Matsumoto.
Harlock, Yamato, Galaxy Express 999.... amazing stuff. I only wish I had scored a fan-subbed Endless Road SSX copy... :-(

I got into anime in the mid-80\'s and we had both amazing things (some of which are almost unheard of... \'Giant Gorg\' anyone?) and bucketloads of crap that we watched just because if was anime. (\'Saint Seiya\' anyone? production values were soooooo low)

Lupin III, Miyazaki .... Castle of Cagliostro!

Wings of Oneamisu ... does anyone even know about this one anymore?

Saw it, liked it. It had some good riffs on the purpose of adventure and exploration, contrasted with the futility of war and nationalism. I was confused by the scene where one of the main characters appears to try and rape a girl however, it didn\'t seem to mesh with the character and made no sense in the plot. I think I just chalked it up to weird Japanese sexual hangups.

The \"thing\" being it\'s AMAZING! Another comment on the futility of blind conflict, and an archetypal Miyazaki message about respecting the environment and not taking things at face value. I really liked the characters in it too, I imagine they would appeal to all ages by being complex but not cryptic. The plot and themes remind me a lot of \"Princess Mononoke\".

Escaflowne

Edit: A ordinary schoolgirl is teleported to the Earths invisible second moon. She then gets involved in a massive war. Its got big steampunk mechs smashing each other to bits with swords so it keeps me happy.

Clip

The clip is in Japanese but its got subtitles and the picture quality is far better than my other clip.
