Another surprise from GW

I never knew GW had another price rise. Looking at Kroot just, and found that the Shapers have gone suddenly from £4 to £5. Just two weeks ago I went in store and found them at £4. Are we having another attack upon us?

I think alot of the blisters went up a pound and the brushes went up 50p or something. Not sure about plastic kits though.

And the whole Northern Europe, including Poland , Russia Sweden and all the other countries got a price rise from 20-45% ...
Some lotr minis rose even 73% :/
Not only you earn more, you also get cheaper minis, this is hell unfair...

Gw is trying to make people buy directly from them - this is why they banned US online stores like Warstore to sell their minis - to protect small local stores, but what is curious, they also rise prices for small shops :D So that people will buy directly from GW online store ;)
This is stupd - cause - I don\'t think that half of Poland or other people who don\'t even know that GW website exists (simply they don\'t know the language, or they don\'t care for GW - they want to play tabletop games)will start mailrdering minis :D They will rather stop buying Warhammer FB /40 k.
A standard pay here in poland is about $400 - 500 a month , so taking into account that a ladnraider costs $90 , and a marine squad costs $45 this is ridiculous...
I hope that GW will choke on this bone :p:cussing:

Edit: Recently in Poland people started buying Gamezone miniatures instead of GW minis for WHFB - they are almost 50% cheaper, and far better sculpted :D
Time for GW to stat respecting their customers I think :D

I bought 4 battle boxes < £50 in store each > off an ebay store cost me £41 + £2.00 postage.

saved £28, plus I got a free gift as well, brush and some black paint!

cant knock that type of saving.

They should put their brushes up!

But if I said where they should put their brushes up, I\'d have to ban myself:D

Thank God they did pull their support from Online stores...

It encouraged me to find other mini companies, and new genres....and kind of rekindled my love affair with miniatures!

Cheers GW, keep pushing us away towards others!!

They drop on some of the smaller independents probably because the reasons Vike mentions ..Don\'t like their products been shown side by side with other cheaper and often better ranges..
But then they do a deal to supply Hobbycraft here in the UK...Mind you good partners both overpriced big boys in their field...

GW\'s pricing policy is a bit daft (whats wrong with £4.50 or £4.75.)cushion the blow a bit....I have heard them say that it desn\'t matter what they put the prices up to people will buy it as they are the best..

There biggest Problem..Complacency...Nobody is too big to get damaged...tread on the small people and eventually you will slip and land in the shitpile you\'ve created.

EricJ used GW brushes and paint for pretty much every model in his gallery.

I bet those were \'Master Brushes\' with kolinsky/ red sable hair for about 80 punds per 5 brushes + superhiper wooden case + a brush soap + a special water pot made from a bolter shell! (crap and I thought that bolters were without shells :D - at least this is what GW has in it\'s fluff ) , and not GW crap brushes that they sell for 5 pounds each...(you can get W&N series 7 brushes per 5 pound each LOL)
Their Fine detail brush is size 2 :D

No, we don\'t have raccoons here...

And I don\'t care who uses them, GW brushes are, at best, third rate quality IMO. They are designed to allow schoolboys to paint toy soldiers and that is where the development really stopped.
