Does every one in France paint their miniatures Academic lol (sorry for spelling?). Perhaps we should start an Impressionist movement, post-post-impressionists-ministyle. Call me Claude.
Canvas painting is very hard it involves a few drawings, tons of practice and investment. Painting is easy, it can take you a year to learn how to paint, but a whole lifetime to understand drawing. I don\'t think it is fair to say mini painting is more complex or harded because it is 3d.Originally posted by alexgrunt

Different styles exist in France, as well as in others countries... It is easy to make the difference between a mini painted by Thomas Barse and Benoit Menard for example...
But it makes no sense comparing those styles with great currents of arts... Canvas-painting is 2d, mini painting isn\'t...![]()
